Wireless Internet Now Available for Guests in the Yellow Tavern and Grill

At the End of the Day: Checking Your Office with Cool One in Hand

For business travelers, conference attendees, well, for anyone, checking the Internet, delivering messages or reports, doesn’t mean sequestering yourself in your room at Virginia Crossings Report.

There the Yellow Tavern Grill is now equipped with wireless Internet (Wi-Fi). So, guests may go off to the Tavern for work and play where the bar, casual dining, pool tables and TVs provide a pleasant way to end the day.

All meeting rooms and guest rooms are wired for high-speed technology but wireless is new in the Yellow Tavern and at the hotel and conference center north of Richmond. So guests and visitors and can enjoy the convenience of using the Internet in a casual, relaxing setting with, of course, a ‘cool one’ in hand.

This new “cutting edge” service is complimentary for all patrons of the Yellow Tavern. Wi-Fi, or wireless fidelity, is an ultra high-speed wireless Internet connection usually available within a radius of a few hundred feet of a transmitter. Laptop computers or other portable devices with Wi-Fi cards tap into the wireless access points, which are physically connected to high-speed networks.

Products certified as Wi-Fi by WECA (Wireless Ethernet Compatibility Alliance) are interoperable with each other even if they are from different manufacturers. A user with a Wi-Fi product can use any brand of Access Point with any other brand of client hardware that is built to the Wi-Fi standard.
The wireless addition at Virginia Crossings is the first of additional Wi-Fi offerings that will be implemented during the rest of this year.
